A song works as a gift when it’s full of details about the person, and a short order form rarely asks for them.

What makes a song a good gift
The person has to recognise themselves in it. “You’re the best friend ever” fits anyone, so it moves no one. “Mike’s an hour late again, slept through seven alarms since ten” can only be about one person, and the whole room knows it from the first line.
Three rules follow. Put the name in the chorus so people can sing along. Use three to five concrete details: habits, a favourite food, a shared story, a phrase they keep repeating. And keep it under two minutes, so you can play the whole thing at the party before anyone drifts off.
When a songwriter service is the better call
If you want a live singer, a performance for a wedding, or a song the family will keep for years, pay for a human songwriter. You get a real voice, you can ask for a particular style, and someone will ask you follow-up questions. The price is money and time: a few hundred dollars and at least a day.
When an AI app is enough
An AI app is fine for a quick joke song when you don’t want to spend much. The catch is the lyrics: the app writes from a line or two, so the song comes out generic. If the details aren’t in your prompt, they won’t be in the song.
